Tell us a bit about your brand and how you came up with the aesthetic?

To Dye For Hair Lounge has been a dream brewing and evolving over many years. Sparking from my first days in the salon as a young teen, I saw the power we had as hairdressers to bring joy and encourage self-love. I longed to create a warm and welcoming space that people from all walks of life felt heard and valued, a space that felt like coming home.

My obsession with peachy tones and deep forest greens is quite literally written on the walls of my salon!

What makes a good brand in your eyes?

A good brand in my eyes is one that demonstrates authenticity and integrity. A brand that stands by its values and intentions on social platforms as well as in reality. A brand that values and appreciates its clients, recognising that without that loyal following, doing what we love wouldn’t be possible.

How do your clients feel the minute they step into the salon?

We endeavor to help our clients feel embraced with a welcoming and loving environment. We want all of our guests to feel pampered and heard, giving them the opportunity to share and laugh or to simply sit and reflect. Creating a safe place to express themselves with gentle and professional guidance.

How do you build team culture within your salon?

To be the best leader you must be the best follower, we are all equals and respect one other for our strengths and our weakness’. We encourage honest communication within our team and work together to ensure our client load is flowing smoothly. We also love to let our hair down together every so often over some cocktails and a boogie.

What is a hair trend you are loving right now?

I am loving seeing my clients embrace their wisdom streaks(silvers), transitioning away from covering and disguising and towards embracing and enjoying their natural colour. You have earned those wisdom streaks baby, let them shimmer. Having said that, my favourite colour creations have to be copper melts... I have a burning passion for creating all the colours of the sunset!

Some of my favourite hair instagrams include @pipsqueekinsaigon. I love all of their quirky and creative content as well as their dreamy space!I also love @hermizdaniel for his simple yet crazy talented content.
