The New Law
Co-Owner Newcastle, NSW
Tell us a bit about your brand and how you came up with the aesthetic?
We are all Y2K teenagers…we loved the vibe of this generation having lived our prime then! When we first opened the salon, we promised to stay true to ourselves, encapsulating the Y2K theme so we could play the music we loved and relive an era that was so much fun and nostalgic for the team. Starting up a new salon, we also wanted to ensure our business was very approachable, having a more fun atmosphere surrounding our work was a huge goal of ours.
What makes a good brand in your eyes?
We provide exceptional art/work without the clinical cold professional wall. We take down that wall & welcome all our fly honeys into our world where clients feel like friends and family. We make people feel welcome like no other salon around, both in our space and encourage our guests to be themselves.
How do your customers feel the minute they step into the salon?
HOT. We are our clients biggest hype girls and no one leaves our salon not realising how beautiful they are. We are known for our greetings: “OH HONNEEYYY look at you girlfriend!!” is just one of our favourites ;)
How do you build team culture within your salon?
Our vibe is very personable, and we love interacting & having lots of fun with staff & clients through reels and TikTok’s.
What is a hair trend you are looking forward to seeing in 2023?
Regrowth Y2K style baby!
Favourite hair industry IG accounts you follow for inspiration?
@bel_pipsqueekinsaigon Her colourful hair inspires us as we thrive on a colourful life.
Why did you choose CPR?
Our salon chose to partner with CPR because of the quality and customer service from our amazing rep. The support given to us unlike any other brand that we were considering in the process. The curly range is the best I have used yet! With a curly hair child I have tried them all. It’s above and beyond any range I have tried to tackle her hair with.
